Sophie Turner (born April 6, 1992) is a British actress. Turner was discovered in 2009 when she was spotted by a scout at her school in Gateshead. The scout later called her agent, who immediately arranged screen tests. Turner was given a two-year contract with an option for three additional years, and the role of Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones (2011).
She made her film debut as Sophie in the short film The Girl (2012) and starred as Kat in the romantic drama Me Him Her (2012). The latter film was selected as an opening-night film at the 2012 London Film Festival.
